Atlantic Beach Garlic Festival celebrates garden, community

The Village of Atlantic Beach celebrated its sixth annual Garlic Festival on Aug. 6 at the AB Village Garden, bringing residents, families and neighbors together for an evening of food, music and community spirit.

The event featured several varieties of garden-grown organic garlic, onions and shallots, along with garden-made dried herbs and seasonings available for purchase. Attendees enjoyed complimentary tastings and live music with Sophie.

The Village Garden, located on Plaza Boulevard across from Atlantic Beach Village Hall, is an all-organic demonstration and learning garden that grows a variety of vegetables. Produce from the garden is donated weekly to local soup kitchens and food pantries serving neighbors in need.

The festival offered a chance for residents to support the garden while enjoying its harvest and celebrating Atlantic Beach’s community spirit.
