Among the more than 18,000 people who attended the three-day American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference in Washington, D.C. on March 20-22, were seven Davis Renov Stahler (DRS) High School for Boys students, along with General Studies Principal Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum.

At AIPAC, the DRS delegation heard Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, and four of the five presidential candidates, speak.

The DRS students, who were among nearly 200 other high school students had the opportunity to attend several breakout sessions on a variety of topics over the three-day conference.

Senior Michael Fagin introduced a breakout session on Sunday about soldiers with special needs who serve in the Israel Defense Force. On Tuesday afternoon, the last day of the conference, Dr. Kirshenbaum accompanied the students to Capitol Hill to lobby Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-Garden City).
