Children from the Lawrence Woodmere Academy in Woodmere partnered with Town of Hempstead Councilman Bruce Blakeman to make handmade Valentine’s Day cards distributed to veterans in his district on Feb. 9.
Since 2001, students have created and sent Valentine’s Day cards to veterans through this Town of Hempstead program.
