Bayview Avenue School Celebrates Fourth Grade Students at Annual Moving Up Ceremony

Freeport Public Schools’ Bayview Avenue School of Arts and Sciences held a special celebration for their fourth grade students during the annual moving up ceremony on June 24. Family members, friends, district administrators, and teachers gathered in the school’s auditorium to honor the students as they proudly entered, marking a significant educational milestone.

Principal Kelly Fairclough opened the ceremony with inspiring remarks, highlighting the students’ hard work and achievements. She said, “You are Bayview stars. You shine. You reflect truth, integrity, and hard work. Remember to always tell the truth, always do your best, and always show your kindness.”

The students then performed “I Can/Hall of Fame,” displaying their talents and bringing smiles to the audience. Following the performance, teachers handed out certificates of completion, celebrating the students’ dedication and accomplishments throughout the year.

Five students—Alin Blas, Ryan Collado, Ava McBride, Ariana Siguencia, and Rony Tavarez—were awarded for perfect attendance. Assistant Principal Berg also delivered a congratulatory message, encouraging the students as they move on to the next phase of their educational journey.

The memorable event concluded with the students exiting the auditorium while singing “You-Nique,” leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. Congratulations to the fourth grade class of Bayview Avenue School for their achievements.
