The Bethel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Freeport hosted its Fall Festival celebration. The event featured extensive celebrations of community, faith and fellowship.
The Fall Festival was held on Oct. 10. The event featured musical entertainment, in part brought by members of the church, a breast cancer awareness tent, community resources, vendors, food and more activities.
The Fall Festival was an outdoor event that provided community members of all ages with the opportunity to enjoy the cooling temperatures while bonding closer with some of their neighbors.
Bethel AME, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, is led by lead pastor Rev. Stephen Michael Lewis. He was also involved in the fall festivities by participating in some grilling during the afternoon event.
