Roosevelt coach Kyle Elmore named AA2 Conference Coach of the Year

Roosevelt High School Varsity Boys Soccer Coach Kyle Elmore was named the AA2 Conference Coach of the Year for 2025 at the Nassau County Boys Soccer Banquet, an honor recognizing both his on-field success and the culture he has built within the Rough Rider soccer program.

Elmore has coached boys soccer at Roosevelt High School since 2012 and has served as head varsity coach since 2019. During that time, he has developed a program rooted in discipline, sportsmanship and resilience, with players consistently reflecting those values on and off the field. His leadership and preparation have helped establish Roosevelt’s soccer program as one of the most respected in Nassau County.

“This honor reflects Coach Elmore’s outstanding leadership, dedication to his players, and the culture of excellence he has created within our Rough Rider soccer program,” said Superintendent of Schools Shawn Wightman. “His commitment goes far beyond the sidelines, and he encourages teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship and pride in every student-athlete he mentors.”

“Coach Elmore represents the very best of Rough Rider pride,” Wightman continued. “This accolade confirms what the Roosevelt community has long known: he is a transformational coach and mentor whose influence extends far beyond the game. His impact continues to shape young men who carry the values of integrity, perseverance, and community with them long after each season ends.”
