Was the West Hempstead Homecoming a happy one?

School spirit was on full display during West Hempstead Secondary School’s annual homecoming celebration on Oct. 5.

From members of the board of education to students from grades K-12, the school community paraded from Chestnut Street School to West Hempstead Secondary School. In addition, the secondary school’s marching band provided music while the cheerleaders helped to promote school spirit. After the parade, the school held a carnival and a ‘Stuff the Bus’ food drive to support people in need.

The Rams varsity football team capped off homecoming with an impressive 28-6 victory over Oyster Bay High School.
