Baptists win benefit softball game

Take 21-20 lead over Lynbrook Fire Department

On Saturday evening, Sept. 25, the Lynbrook Baptist Church sponsored a benefit softball game at Greis Park to benefit the Lynbrook Volunteer Fire Department and the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Members of the Baptist Church, led by Pastor Robert Walderman, played Lynbrook's volunteer firefighters in a thrilling game. Although the firefighters held a commanding lead thorughout most of the game, the Baptist Church players came back with five runs in the bottom of the seventh to win by a score of 21 to 20.
