Books (and lunchboxes) for East Rockaway students

Students in the East Rockaway School District began regular classes this week, just one day after Labor Day.
At the high school, new principal Joe Spero and assistant principal Dina Reilly will be there to greet the students. Assistant Principal James DeTommaso will be a familiar face.
Rhame Avenue will host a “Welcome Back” picnic on Friday, Sept. 7, the same day that Centre Avenue will host a welcome tea. The High school will host its pep rally on Fri., Sept. 14, and will play Mineola in its homecoming game on Sat., Sept. 15.
