The Annual Mayor William J. Hendrick Community Awards Night was held on Friday, Nov. 18, this year honoring Charles V. Rosaschi as “Citizen of the Year.” The New Vision Party hosted the event.

Raymond Mohler, Jr. founder and namesake of the Little St. Nick Foundation, was named “Humanitarian of the Year,” and Paul DiCosimo of DiCosimo General Contracting was “Businessperson of the Year.” Distinguished Service awards were presented to residents Nick Vuotto Frank Robustello, and Roger and Sandy Sandorfi.
“We are a village of neighbor helping neighbor, outstanding services, recreational facilities second to none, safety a priority, and the needs of our residents, always first,” said Hendrick. “This will be a year of hope, growth, and opportunity for us all, as a village and as a community.”
“Lynbrook is known throughout Long Island as a great place to live, work and raise a family, and it is our wonderful people and business owners that make it so,” said Village Trustee Hilary Becker, who also serves as executive chairman of the Lynbrook New Vision Party. “These people are being honored because of their many unique contributions to our village, and because they typify what Lynbrook is all about, both in their community service and character.”
