A Medford man was arrested without incident on Monday after police said that he robbed a Lynbrook bank.

Robbery Squad detectives and the Lynbrook Police Department reported the arrest of Gaetano Delia, 53, of Ash Drive in Medford, who, police said, entered Bank Of America at 300 Merrick Road in Lynbrook at 2:50 p.m., making verbal demands for cash to several tellers. He obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank in an unknown direction.

A description of Delia was circulated, and he was located a short time later by Lynbrook police officers on Broadway and Stewart Street in Hewlett. He was then placed under arrest without incident. The proceeds of the robbery were recovered.

Delia is charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and was arraigned in First District Court on Tuesday.
