Crime Watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests
On Oct. 9 at 6:06 p.m., A 51-year-old man of East Rockaway, was arrested and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.

On Oct. 6 at 10:02 p.m.,A 26-year-old Westbury man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and unsecured license plate on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook.

At 11:58 p.m. on Oct. 5, A 29-year-old of Ozone Park, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument on Broadway in Lynbrook.

Grand larceny
On Oct. 9 at 7:25 a.m., a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) removed their 2008 Audi, A4, which was parked in the east side parking area of 108 Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook. The vehicle is valued at $19,000.


At 9:38 a.m. on Oct. 9, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) removed assorted gold jewelry from their residence on Washington Avenue in Lynbrook. The jewelry is valued at $6,100.

Public lewdness
At 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 8 the complainant, a 14-year-old female, reported that while riding her bicycle southbound on Union Avenue in Lynbrook with her friend, another 14-year-old female, they stopped for a red light at Scranton Avenue. The two observed a dark blue sedan, westbound on Scranton Avenue being operated by a white male. The driver stopped at a green traffic light and waved to the two girls to cross the street. The complainant and her friend then continue southbound to Marion Street toward Dean Street. The same dark blue sedan drove past the girls and stopped in the middle of the street. As the complainant attempted to pass the sedan, the operator engaged her in conversation at which time he exposed himself to her. He then continued eastbound on Marion Street.
The male is described as white, about 25 years old, five feet nine inches tall, 150 pounds, thin build, black crew cut hair, light complexion wearing a red baseball cap.

Criminal mischief
Between 12:01 and 7 a.m. Oct. 6, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) broke assorted statues and flowerpots on the complainant’s front lawn on Edward Street in Lynbrook.
On Oct. 3 at 6:15 p.m., a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) scratched their 2012 Honda, which was parked in their driveway on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook, with an unknown object. The total amount of the damage is $500.

Burglary
At 6:57 p.m. on Oct. 4, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) entered their residence on Wood Street in Lynbrook and then removed assorted jewelry valued at $9,000.
