Lynbrook Fire Department Juniors do it again

For the sixth time in the last nine years, the Lynbrook Junior Fire Department, pictured at top, took first place as the Best Appearing Junior Fire Department in Nassau County for 2011. The four-foot-high trophy was awarded by the Nassau County’s Drill Team Captain’s Association at their annual dinner, held this year at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Oceanside, on December 3.
In the photo at right, Thomas Fitzsimons of the Baldwin FD, and president of the Nassau County Drill Teams Captain’s Association, presented the Juniors first place trophy to Lynbrook Junior Captain Dylan Bien and Second Lieutenant John O’Reilly III.
