Well done, Lynbrook fire department

Lynbrook firefighters wet down the rear wall of a house on Washington Avenue on the evening of Sept. 12 after a fire in a barbecue placed too close to the house melted the siding.

The fire was quickly extinguished and the fire did not enter into the interior of the home. The firefighters were under the command of Chief Anthony DeCarlo and were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
