Village of Malverne pays tribute to our heroes

Former Malverne Mayor Joseph Canzoneri welcomed the crowd during his remarks at the Veterans Day Service on Nov. 11 at Reese Park.

With lots of support from veterans in the Malverne American Legion Post 44 and others in the area, the Village of Malverne hosted a Veterans Day Observance Service on Nov. 11.

The event, which featured remarks from Malverne Mayor Patricia McDonald and former mayor Joseph Canzoneri, was held at Chester A. Reese Veterans Memorial Park on Church Street. The park was named after a World War I veteran.
