Three people were arrested on Fish Avenue, about 50 feet from Mepham High School in North Bellmore, and charged with drug possession at about 1 p.m. on Monday, Lt. Kevin Smith of the Nassau County Police Department said.

The Herald has received confirmed reports that there was police activity in or around Mepham High School on Monday between noon and 1 p.m. According to unconfirmed reports, a 20-year-old alleged drug dealer was arrested at Stewart and and Elbert avenues.
Nassau County Police have yet to confirm the incident.
