A 25-year-old male was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle while he was walking on Babylon Turnpike near Smith Street in Merrick on June 20 at 1:35 a.m., according to detectives with the Nassau County Police Department’s Homicide Squad. The vehicle operator drove off northbound after hitting the young man. more
