Merrick United Methodist Church recently celebrated Shrove with a family pancake and supper games night.
Shrove Tuesday marks the last day before the beginning of Lent. The holiday gives people the opportunity to have fun and indulge in food – such as pancakes – that one would normally forego during Lent.
Families participated in egg races, and played games such as Scrabble, chess and dominoes.
