Seaford High School held its annual 9/11 Memorial Candlelighting ceremony on Sept. 11, honoring the 2,977 lives lost in the 2001 terrorist attacks.
The ceremony included a tribute to five Seaford High alumni who perished: Robert Sliwak, John William Perry, Thomas Haskell, Michael Wittenstein, and Timothy Haskell.
Family members, local clergy, and community leaders participated, ringing a bell in remembrance. Organized by the Seaford High School 9/11 Memorial Committee, the event featured an honor guard and reflections on Seaford's resilience and commitment to honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
