Hundreds of children, parents and grandparents attended Oceanside Library’s 3rd Annual Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash on Mar. 6. The children enjoyed arts and crafts, movies, face painting, balloons, temporary tattoos and more.
Staff members, and special guests including Assemblyman Brian Curran, County Legislator Laura Curran, Town of Hempstead Councilman Anthony D’Esposito, local Kiwanis President Christopher McGrath and others read to the children in story circles set up around the building.
Children received Cat-in-the-hat hats and goodie bags and stickers from Library President Dan Faust and Library Trustees Wayne Vurture and Mary DiGiovanna.
The library is already working on next year’s event.
