Along with the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino and Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad spent this week welcoming new ventures to – and celebrating the reopening after Sandy of others in – the Oceanside community.
Adding to the “Shop with Pride” atmosphere in Oceanside, Santino and Ahmad welcomed old and new patrons seeking specialized services and gourmet food to the area.
“More than a year after the Sandy, I’m glad our local businesses are getting back on their feet,” said Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino. “Oceanside has always been a haven for shoppers looking for good products and fine services. I’m glad that the Town was able to help many Sandy-damaged business bounce back by waiving permit fees associated with rebuilding. And we welcome the great new additions into our community too,” Santino added.
