H.S. Football: Week 2

Defending Nassau County football champions Freeport, Garden City, Lawrence and Seaford all came out of the gate flexing their muscles in Week 1.

Let’s see what Week 2 brings on Thursday, which features the top-seeded teams in each conference home to No. 5.

In Conference I, East Meadow goes to Farmingdale for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff, and Syosset is at Oceanside at 7 p.m. In Conference II at 4:30 p.m., Wantagh goes to Elmont and Calhoun faces Garden City. In Conference III action, Sewanhaka travels to Lawrence at 3 p.m., and Lynbrook takes on Plainedge at Hofstra at 4:30 p.m. And in Conference IV, Roosevelt visits North Shore, while East Rockaway treks to Valley Stream North for a 4:30 p.m. start.
