Local seniors gathered for a morning of food, fellowship and holiday cheer as the Island Park Public Schools Recreation Department hosted its annual Winter Senior Citizen Breakfast on Dec. 12.
The event was held in the all-purpose room at Lincoln Orens Middle School, where senior residents from the community were welcomed for a festive breakfast buffet prepared by the district’s food service staff. The annual gathering offered an opportunity for seniors to connect with one another and with members of the Island Park School District in a warm, seasonal setting.
Guests shared conversation and laughter over a variety of breakfast offerings while celebrating the winter season together. District staff and organizers helped create a welcoming atmosphere, reinforcing the school district’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and intergenerational connections.
The Winter Senior Citizen Breakfast has become a cherished tradition in Island Park, providing local seniors with a chance to enjoy a relaxed morning out while strengthening ties between the school district and the community it serves.
