Arrests

  • Alexandra Weiner, 20, of Long Beach, was arrested on Trinity Street in Oceanside on July 26 and charged with grand and petit larceny. According to police, Weiner was observed ransacking a 2005 Toyota.
  • Andres Vines, 30, of Baldwin, was arrested at the Sands Shopping Center, 3511 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, on July 19 and charged with criminal mischief and petit larceny. According to police, Vines threw a rock and damaged the driver's side window of a 2010 Chevrolet and took a GPS from a 2005 Nissan.
  • Keith Hill, 43, of the Bronx, was arrested at Chase Bank, 3285 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, on July 23 and charged with grand larceny and forgery. According to police, Hill attempted to make fraudulent transactions under the name of three victims and was found in the possession of three counterfeit credit cards and driver's licenses.
  • Farah LaMarre, 32, of Rockville Centre, was arrested at Kohl's, 3600 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, on July 26 and charged with shoplifting jewelry.
  • Ken Cassamajor, 16, of St. Albans, was arrested on Atlantic Avenue in Oceanside on July 21 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. According to police, Cassamajor sideswiped a 2004 Dodge and left without exchanging information with the driver.


Criminal Mischief

  • A known suspect was seen punching the passenger's side window of the complainant's 1995 GMC, damaging the plastic visor, on July 20 on California Place South in Island Park.
  • A passenger-side tire was punctured on a Plymouth parked on Redfield Road in Island Park on July 24.
  • The driver-side rear panel of a 2007 Volvo parked on Beach Avenue in Island Park was damaged on July 22.
  • A religious statue at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 80 Anchor Avenue in Oceanside, was knocked over on July 25.


DWI

  • Carlos Landi, 39, of Lynbrook, was arrested on Kingston Boulevard in Island Park on July 24 and charged with driving while intoxicated. According to police, Landi was pulled over after hitting two parked cars and had a blood-alcohol level of .09 percent.
  • Caitlin Pecora, 20, of Hicksville, was arrested on Austin Boulevard in Island Park on July 25 and charged her with driving while intoxicated. According to police, Pecora was stopped after hitting a car at a traffic light and had a blood-alcohol level of .19 percent.
  • Ricardo Contreras, 24, of Island Park, was arrested on Austin Boulevard in Island Park and charged with driving while impaired on July 25. According to police, Contreras was stopped for violating several traffic regulations but refused a breath test.
