Rolling out the red carpet in Oceanside

Posted

Last week, the Oceanside School District held its third annual Film Festival on April 24, honoring the cinematic achievements of students in grades 6 through 12.

Held in the Oceanside High School auditorium, the festival showed the short films of dozens of Oceanside students and groups, giving out awards for myriads of categories.

This year’s festival garnered more than 70 submissions from students, which a judging panel of teachers and administrators narrowed down the entries to about 40 that were screened in the packed auditorium. And all of the winners walked away with the district’s award, a Foovie.
