According to a Nassau County Police Department news release, a 64-year-old man suffered a medical emergency aboard a vessel on the Long Island Sound north of Bayville at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Nassau County Aviation, Nassau County Marine Bureau and Town of Oyster Bay Bay Constables responded to the 911 call and located the vessel. The man was brought to shore and taken, by a Nassau County Police Ambulance, to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. The vessel was towed to shore.
