Gala honors, supports North Shore veterans

The Tribute and Honor Foundation, formerly known as the Phoenix Rising Committee, is making significant strides in honoring and supporting veterans on the North Shore. To this end, they held a gala on Feb. 3, raising $35,000. The funds raised will help support the mission of the foundation in serving veterans and their families through programs such as the Glen Cove Library's VetNow Program and other collaborative efforts with veteran support organizations across Long Island. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will go towards the foundation's recently established Ben Farnan Scholarship Fund.
Through successful events and partnerships with organizations like Team EVA, the foundation has garnered community support, and boasts a dedicated board and liaison committee. The foundation’s mission has expanded beyond its initial goal, now providing support to veterans and their families across Long Island, and has introduced the Ben Farnan Scholarship to support graduating high school seniors entering the military or military academies.
