The Bellmore-Merrick Sharks tied Jericho last season, and fell to the squad by two points in a meet this year. Joshua Golub, a Calhoun High School senior, was recently named a semifinalist in the 2010-11 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. About 2,100 high school seniors, out of 71,000 applications, are in the running for $3 million in scholarships offered by the program.
