Among his stops was WGBB radio, on Landsdowne Avenue in Merrick, where he debated Lewis Lehrman, his Republican-Conservative opponent and an investment banker. Richard Kessel, a native Merokean whom Cuomo later named executive director of the New York State Consumer Protection Board, was there that day. He had lunch with Cuomo afterward. more
