Scalesi, 54, a lifelong Bellmore resident and a Mepham High School graduate, has served his home community as a volunteer since he was young. He is active in the Bellmore Fire Department and the Kiwanis and Lions clubs, and he’s an honorary lifetime member of the North Bellmore Fire Department’s Company No. 2. more

Asip is a married father of three, a member of the Oceanside Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus. The Rockville Centre Lions Club hosted its 12th annual Duck Race and fall fair at Centennial Park at Mill River on a beautiful recent October Saturday. In total, 4,000 rubber ducks set sail on Mill River in a competition for who would finish first during the afternoon event. more
