After initially being at odds, village officials in Lynbrook and Rockville Centre have agreed on a route for PSEG Long Island to build a 7.3-mile, 138-kilovolt underground transmission line between Garden City and Lynbrook. PSEG went with its preferred route, in green, which had the support of Lynbrook officials, while Rockville Centre officials favored the eastern alternative, in purple, before agreeing to the preferred one. The Public Service Commission made the final call on the route.
