Oceanside resident Vito Errico died last April at age 22 when he was thrown through the back window of a 2004 Acura on the Southern State Parkway, just west of the Malverne exit, and a light pole fell on him. On March 27, the Freeport man who was driving the car pleaded guilty to manslaughter, admitting that he drove drunk and high at 90 miles per hour before clipping a car and crashing. He was unhurt. Two others in the car were seriously injured, according to Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas. more
