A 19-year-old female passenger was ejected from this 2004 Honda when it and a 2006 Hyundai collided Monday evening at Hewlett Avenue and Sunrise Highway in Merrick, according to police. They said she was in critical condition on Monday night at a local hospital.

A Roosevelt man was arrested on Saturday in connection with a fatal assault at Bellmore’s Long Island Rail Road station, authorities said. Through a joint investigation, Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Nassau County police officials apprehended Niheim Levy, 34, and charged him in the death of a 49-year-old Freeport man. more
