The price for a round of golf on a weekend day at Eisenhower Park’s Red Course will increase from $43 to $47 for adults who live in Nassau County. Republican county legislators and County Executive Ed Mangano last week approved increases of hundreds of county fees covering a wide range of services.

County hikes fees

The Republican-controlled Nassau County Legislature on June 16 approved fee increases for many county services, including parks, museums, pools, golf, marinas and vendor registration. County Executive Ed Mangano, who proposed the fee hikes in May, signed them into law June 19. more

Aircraft noise from John F. Kennedy International Airport has been an issue for Five Towns residents for years. WebTrak, an online method the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has developed for measuring and reporting sound levels, has been available to the public since March. Residents can see noise levels recorded in real time on the website. more
