Heated discussions about a possible artificial-turf field for the district have ended — at least until May. At the Lynbrook Board of Education’s last budget work session, on March 23, trustees voted 4-3 to offer a proposition for a $4.6 million artificial-turf complex in the upcoming district election. The money, trustees said, will come from the district’s reserves, and its Renovation and Improvement of Facilities fund. more
Sports enthusiasts met for an athletic seminar at the Hendrickson Park administration building on March 12, hosted by the 2C2W Athletic Academy. Participants got an opportunity to learn about the academy’s activities including the track and field program, and opportunities for professional coaching and competition travel. more
