Veterans, scouts, marching bands and Little Leaguers are set to take part in the Merricks’ annual Memorial Day parade, which is scheduled to kick off on Monday, May 30, at 9:30 a.m. The parade will begin at Veterans Broadcast Plaza between Merrick and Brooklyn avenues in Merrick. The procession will head north on Merrick Avenue to Veterans Monument at Lee Avenue, where a ceremony will be conducted. Merrick American Legion Post 1282 will once again host the parade.
