Arrest made in Seaford sexual abuse case
Nassau County Police have arrested a man in connection with a sexual abuse incident that occurred on June 23 in Seaford.
Michael Hernandez, 20, of Bethpage, was taken into custody after an investigation by the Eighth Squad Detectives. He is charged with sexual abuse.
The incident took place at around 5:32 p.m. in the rear of 751 Seamans Neck Road. According to detectives, a 34-year-old woman was walking when a male suspect approached her and inappropriately touched her before running away. The suspect was initially described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 25 years old, with long hair and braces.
Hernandez was arraigned on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at First District Court in Hempstead.
