Baldwin teacher named regional art educator of the year

Baldwin Middle School and Baldwin High School art teacher Regina Russo has been chosen as the 2013 New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) Educator of the Year for Region 9.

Baldwin Middle School and Baldwin High School art teacher Regina Russo has been chosen as the 2013 New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) Educator of the Year for Region 9. Russo will receive her award and special recognition at NYSATA’s Annual Conference in Albany on Nov. 24. According to the NYSATA Awards and Honors Chairperson Terry Crowningshield, “Regina has demonstrated her ability to further the field of art education both in and out of the classroom, and her dedication and vision have set her apart from her peers.” Russo is now in the pool of art educator
winners in the running for 2014 New York State Art Educator of the Year.
