The Town of Hempstead has issued the following warning for boaters in anticipation of the approaching hurricane.

BOATERS BEWARE: Hurricane Earl 
and Labor Day Weekend Sea Dangers

With over 112,000 registered boat owners on Long Island, many boating enthusiasts take to the seas for Labor Day weekend. But, boaters beware. With the anticipation of Hurricane Earl passing through Long Island by early Saturday morning, it is extremely important for boaters to take precautions. In addition, learn what the town’s bay constables will be doing to keep our waterways and boaters safe in the event of a major storm.
