Janine Sena-Saputo, a graduate of Calhoun HS class of 1995, was awarded New York State Outstanding Social Studies classroom Teacher Award for the elementary school level for 2013 at the New York State Council for the Social Studies annual awards luncheon held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Hilton Hotel in Rye Brook New York. Janine is presently teaching 5th grade at Harbofields CSD Thomas J. Leahy Elementray School.
