On April 23, 24 and 25, thespians at South Side High School wowed audiences with the school’s 2015 musical, “The Drowsy Chaperone.”

The story revolves around The Man in Chair, a quiet man who is a fan of Broadway musicals. He starts playing the record from his favorite (and made up) 1920s Broadway show, “The Drowsy Chaperone.” As he does, the show comes alive on stage around him.

More than 100 students worked as performers, orchestral musicians, sound and lighting operators, costume and make up assistants and stage crew to bring this delightful show to life on the South Side stage. Pamela Seiderman directed the play.
