The Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City is spreading the word about its latest exhibits and activities.

Pictured above right are East Meadow residents Catherine Dagoon and her son, Christopher, participating in an interactive science workshop during Nano Day, which focused on the study of the super small. Ralph and David Dagoon, left, work together to explore topics such as static electricity and waterproof sand.

Ongoing at the museum is “Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body,” which will continue through Sept. 4. Based on the children’s best-seller "Grossology" by Sylvia Branzei, the exhibit has "17 interactive stations designed to teach you the good, the bad and the downright ugly about runny noses, body odor and much more," according to the museum’s web site.
