Everyone o.k. after fire on Glendale Drive

A house fire on Glendale Drive was called in to the Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department on May 2 at 10:48 p.m. Chief Marvin Tate arrived first at the scene to confirm the fire.

It took 2 ½ hours to extinguish the fire and contain the hot spots, which were numerous. No injuries were reported.

The departments that provided mutual aid included: the Bayville Volunteer Fire Department, East Norwich Fire Department, Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department, Locust Valley Volunteer Fire Department, Huggers Landing/Oyster Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Roslyn Highlands Volunteer Fire Co. and Sea Cliff Fire Department.
