Fluffy Angel opens in I. P.

A new dog-grooming parlor has opened in Island Park. Located in the Kikkert Plaza at 371 Long Beach Road, Fluffy Angel is owned and operated by Carlos and Lorena Zapelli.

“I am a life long Island Park resident, a volunteer fireman, I have a huge following, and Island Park needs a groomer,” said Carlos, “So it was only logical I would open here. The gym did a great job at his place [referring to ESPN Gym and it’s owner Eddie Leach, located 2 doors away] the site was perfect for us, lots of room.”

He noted there is no other grooming salon in Long Beach and south Oceanside.

“It has lots of traffic, with the gym and the post office right next door.”

Carlos said until now he did the grooming in his home. “Lorena and I handle all breeds,” he said, “We plan to add dog daycare soon.”

Fluffy Angel is open Mon.-Sat. from 9 am. to 6 p.m.
