Long Beach school calendar

Board meeting
The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at the middle school at 8 p.m. on Jan. 12. A board of education worksession is scheduled for Jan. 26 at the middle school.

Book fair
The middle school book fair begins on Jan. 7.

Parent-teacher conferences
Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Jan. 13 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Parent-principal roundtable
The middle school parent/principal roundtable is scheduled for Jan. 14 at 9:30 a.m.

Bedtime and books
West School’s K-2 “Bedtime and Books” program is set for Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m.; the 3rd to 5th graders will cuddle together at “Book Night” on Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Middle school musical
The middle school theater department will present a performance of “The Music Man” on Jan. 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for $5.

Free echo-cardiogram screening
The Long Beach School District in conjunction with Schneider Children’s Hospital, the Jason F. Gruen Research Foundation and real estate brokers Neil Sterrer and Joe Sinnona announce the second annual free echo cardiogram screening program for 8th grade middle school student athletes at 8 a.m. on March 20 at Long Beach Middle School.
