Island Park resident Kelly ODeady posted a photo on her Facebook page after a trip to a Stop & Shop at the Sands shopping center in Oceanside. She titled it "Nothing left!"
Supermarkets across Nassau County were wiped clean by thousands of shoppers who rushed to make last-minute purchases in preparation of the storm. Bottled water, milk and bread made the top of the list. People also stocked up on pain killers, snacks, diapers and pet food.
