Arrests

Nicholas G. Casceli, 29, of N. Forest Avenue, was arrested on June 20 and charged with harassment following an alleged altercation at his home.

Jason T. Simon, 33, of Greystone Road was arrested on June 18 and charged with disturbing the peace for allegedly causing a disturbance in Municipal Parking Field 1.

Dalton Gill, 48, of Irving Place, Uniondale, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle traffic law violations after police say they saw him driving a 2007 Ford on Hempstead Avenue.

Robbery

On June 19 at 5:30 p.m. a woman from Baldwin told police that she was assaulted and her cell phone was stolen by her child’s father while they were in the Morgan Days North parking field.

Burglaries

On June 14 at 9:50 p.m. a Reid Avenue resident told police that someone damaged the rear door to his home in an attempt to get in, causing the house alarm to activate. The complainant told police that nothing had been stolen.

On June 16, a Lakeview Avenue resident told police that between June 15 at 11 p.m. and the next morning at 6:30 a.m., someone entered his house through an office window and took a lap top computer and a wrist watch.

Also on June 16, a Locust Avenue resident reported to police that someone entered her house through an unlocked rear door between June 15 at 11 p.m. and the next morning at 6:30 a.m. and took $145.

On June 16, a N. Forest Avenue resident told police that someone entered the home without permission.

At 9:30 on June 17, another Reid Avenue resident told police that someone tried to get into his home while he was upstairs and damaged the back door. The person ran off.

The same night — at 9:48 — a Rockville Avenue resident reported to police that someone damaged his back door and got into his house, causing the house alarm to be activated. No property was stolen.

Also on June 17, the superintendent of the Rockville-Lewis Apartments told police that someone damaged the lock and basement door to the laundry room of 407 Merrick Road and tried to get in between June 11 at 4 p.m. and June 17 at 10:24 a.m. No property was stolen.

Rockville Centre police detectives and Nassau County First Squad detectives are investigating.

Larcenies

On June 17, a N. Forest Avenue resident told police that assorted jewelry was taken from her home before June 10 at 8 p.m.

On June 20, a S. Kensington Avenue resident reported to police that between 8:30 p.m. on June 19 and 6 a.m. the next morning, someone damaged the passenger side rear window of his 2010 Mercedes Benz that was parked in his driveway and removed the DVD remote.

On June 16 at 10:30 a.m., a S. Park Avenue resident reported the theft of a laptop computer from her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway overnight.

On June 16 at 10:40 a.m., an Oceanside resident told police that her purse and electronics were stole from her car while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 8 on June 14 between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

On June 15, between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m., a Honda generator valued at $700 was reportedly stolen from in front of 1 College Place.

Property damage

On June 20, a Brooklyn resident told police that his 2003 Infiniti was damaged while it was parked at TGI Friday, 716 Sunrise Highway,On between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

On June 14, a complainant from Massapequa reported that her 2002 BMW’s hood was damaged by someone between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Criminal mischief

On June 20, someone from Central Synagogue, 430 DeMott Avenue told police that someone damaged two second floor window panes facing the parking lot between June 19 at 10 p.m. and the next morning at 9:30 a.m.

Unusual incidents

On June 20, a Vincent Street resident reported that someone made an online Apple purchase of $738 with her Astoria Federal Savings MasterCard account without authorization.

On June 19, a Lincoln Avenue resident told police that on June 15, someone attempted to open a Target credit card in Brooklyn, using her personal information without her authorization.

On June 15, an Ardsley Court resident told police that someone opened a Sprint account using his personal information without his permission.

On June 14, an Albany Court resident reported that someone made three unauthorized transactions from his Chase savings account totaling $8,960 between June 3 and June 9.

Disturbance

On June 19, police responded to a large disturbance in Municipal Parking Field 1, at the rear of the Hallmark Crown Shoppe, 278 Sunrise Highway. During the disturbance, two men were injured from broken glass when the window was broken during the fight between two unrelated groups of people. Rockville Centre police and detectives from Nassau County’s First Squad investigated the incident and determined that there was no probable cause to make arrests.

Harassment

On June 18, a Morris Avenue woman reported to police that a former boyfriend was sending her harassing text messages.
