People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

Jordan Greenberg, 39, of Allen Road was arrested on May 21 and charged with assault following a domestic incident investigation at his home.

Stephen Radi, 35, of Cumberland Street, was arrested on May 22 and charged with harassment at his home following a dispute with his sister.

Assault

On May 23 at 12:20 a.m., a complainant from Brower Avenue reported being assaulted by approximately eight individuals at N. Long Beach Road and Hampshire Avenue.

Burglary

On May 22, a Lincoln Avenue resident told police that between 4 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. that day, someone entered his apartment and stole a laptop computer and jewelry.

Larcenies

On May 20, a resident of Princeton Road told police that her son’s backpack, containing an LG Eternity cell phone valued at $350 and $5 in cash was taken from the South Side High School gym between 1 and 2 p.m. that day.

A Parkwood Court resident told police on May 20 that her Schwinn bicycle, valued at about $200, was stolen from the N. Village Avenue and Front Street area near the Long Island Railroad between 8:10 a.m. and 7:45 p.m.

On May 20 a Berkshire Road resident reported to police that someone made online purchases totaling $527.59 against his American Express account without his permission.

On May 17, a complainant from Baldwin told police that someone withdrew $47,000 from his Citibank checking account without his permission.

Forgery

On My 17, a complainant from 488 Sunrise Highway reported that someone cashed a forged check for $518.33 against their business account.

Criminal mischief

n On May 20, a Baldwin resident told police that her vehicle was damaged while it was parked at the Village Hall parking log at 1 College place between 8 a.m. and 5:35 p.m.

n On May 20, the director of the Sandel Senior Center, 50 S. Park Ave., reported that two windows and a picket fence were damaged sometime between May 19 at 5 p.m. and May 20 at 4 p.m. The windows were apparently damaged by a BB gun.

n On May 18, a Rockville Centre resident told police that the driver’s side of his 2008 Nissan was damaged while it was parked at King Kullen, 127 Sunrise Highway. The damage occurred on April 25.
