Limoge box exhibit
Small boxes have been used for centuries to contain cosmetics, beauty patches, hair, powder, salves, jewelry and many other uses.These small treasures were made of all sorts of material.The Rockville Centre Museum has the Mr.& Mrs. Michael J. Gibbons collection of handpainted porcelain limoge boxes acquired in Paris on display at the Phillips House Museum, 28 Hempstead Ave. through May 2. Also included are contemporary Faberge Eggs produced at the Faberge Factory by selected artists and Russian Lacquered boxes.The museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There is no charge for admission, but donations are always welcome.Call Frank Seipp at (516) 764-7459 for more information.
Seussical the Musical
