Rockville Centre Historical Society

The Museum of the Village of Rockville Centre invites one and all to visit and enjoy the historic restoration at 28 Hempstead Ave. Summer hours are Sunday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and also by appointment for groups. On display are kitchen tools, carpentry tools, period furniture, pharmaceutical collectibles and much more. The Victorian Garden is in full bloom for all to enjoy. There is no fee. Blood Drive at MMC

Mercy Medical Center invites and encourages members of the community to participate in a Blood Drive to support Long Island Blood Services on July 29 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the first floor of the St. Anne’s building on the hospital campus.To register call Jeannie Jaeger at (516) 705-2589.

Village Summer Concert

On Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m., Plaza Theatrical Productions will present “Go’in Hollywood” on the Village Green at Maple and Lee avenues. Bring a law chair or a blanket to sit on. In case of rain, the concert wil be held indoors at the Recreation Center, 111 N. Oceanside Road.

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

On Aug. 14 the tournament will feature a sports raffle and lively competition. Doors open at noon; tip-off is at 1 p.m. at the Recreation Center, 111 N.Oceanside Road. The event benefits Hoops 4 Hope Charity and will show which team has what it takes to win.
